The 2019 Honda Passport is ready for all-weather fun

The the 2019 Honda Passport was designed with adventure in mind. From its 20-inch wheels to its speedy engine to its all-weather, all-wheel drive, this SUV is serious about outdoor fun. The new model comes in Sport, EX-L and Touring editions.

Built tall, the Passport wears 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels. Ground clearance is 205 mm. LED fog lights, heated side mirrors, and a front wiper de-icer make travel easier. EX-L models add tilt-down mirrors that show you the curb while in reverse. Honda also adds an acoustic windshield to quiet the cabin. Touring models have a hands-free power liftgate, rain sensing wipers, and auto-levelling front headlights.

Capability and fun in the 2019 Honda Passport

A driver needs to be ready for anything. So, Honda gave this SUV a powerful engine. The iVTEC V6 kicks out 262 lb-ft of torque and 280 horsepower. The all-wheel drive system has Intelligent Torque Variable Management, which can help in rough conditions. The nine-speed automatic has Grade Logic Control, helping with inclines. Amplitude reactive dampers cushion the bumps on the road and on the trail.

Taking care of safety, the Passport has a lane keeper, a forward collision warning with autobrake, and a road departure mitigation system. The Honda LaneWatch camera is standard on the Sport and EX-L, and a blind spot information system comes on the Touring model.

Premium cabins in the 2019 Honda Passport

The Sport starts you out with all the right stuff. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a remote engine starter help you beat the winter cold. The driver enjoys a 10-way power seat, a 152-watt audio system, and a HondaLink touch display. Features include Siri Eyes Free, Apple CarPlay, SMS text messaging, Android Audio, and Wi-Fi tethering.

Passport cabins offer generous space to the driver and passengers. The back row has sliding and reclining seats. A moonroof provides natural light and air. Ready for your gear, cargo volume is a generous 1,430 L.

The EX-L cabin has leather seats, four USB ports, HD radio, SiriusXM, and a front passenger power chair. Touring models add ventilated seats, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless charger, and a 550-watt premium audio system.
